SHRI SAI URJA TRUST CHANDIGARH

"I am formless and everywhere." - Sai Baba

Expanding Baba's Mission: Building Community

Despite many challenges, Baba himself guided this endeavor. He remarkably facilitated the arrival of his idol from Jaipur to Panjab University in Chandigarh, without any financial contribution from the founders. A devotee, inspired by Baba, suggested bringing the idol, and this divine will was embraced. This is how Baba’s beautiful and captivating presence came to reside with them. Since then, countless devotees have connected with Baba through the Trust, contributing to various services such as langer seva (community kitchen), medical camps, and tree planting initiatives. A shared vision emerged: to create a dedicated space for Baba where devotees could gather daily for darshan (sacred viewing) and aarti (worship ceremony).

THE DIVINE ESTABLISHMENT

GUIDED BY BABA'S COMMAND

With the support of the devotees he brought together, the Trust began planning for this larger purpose. Their aim was to build a Shirdi for Baba, not merely a temple – a sacred place accessible and welcoming to people of all faiths.

This aspiration led to the formal establishment of the Shri Sai Urja Trust, a registered organization, which Baba graciously helped them found. It is deeply believed that every person who joins or departs from this community does so by Baba’s divine will.

Our Journey with Sai: A Foundation of Compassion and Knowledge

Om Sai Ram.
Sai Baba first connected with us in 2009. A powerful presence was experienced, offering answers to countless questions, resolving dilemmas, and assisting in overcoming personal challenges. This spiritual connection eventually inspired the founders to bring a physical representation of Baba into their lives, guided by his divine blessings.

Baba's Core Teachings and Transformative Principles

THREE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

The greatest acts of giving are the donation of aid, the donation of medicine, and the donation of knowledge. The Shri Sai Urja Trust directly embodies this philosophy.

Its core mission is to share Baba’s teachings and wisdom, uniting people rather than dividing them by religion or caste. As Baba himself stated, “If you want to learn something from me, I will teach you gladly, whether it’s social, spiritual, or scientific.” The Trust believes any knowledge or path can be learned from him, and he continues to guide and teach all who seek.

An individual closely associated with the Trust, despite a modest background with limited formal education, guidance, wealth, or robust health, once questioned their ability to make a significant difference. They believed these factors were essential for success.

Baba dictated a powerful message, his voice clear:

“Never let three states dominate you: lack of wealth, insufficient education, or physical illness. If you lack wealth, still do the work. If your studies aren’t strong, don’t let it hinder you; instead, work hard. And if your body is afflicted, do not let the disease dominate you. If you conquer these three, you will have nothing to fear.” These principles, adopted in 2015, proved transformative, demonstrating that true wisdom transcends conventional limitations, even placing individuals before prominent figures like IAS officers.

The Vision Ahead: A Shirdi for All

The Trust’s commitment extends beyond personal growth. It adheres to the belief that for any project to flourish, human effort must precede divine intervention.

As Baba said, “First you will think, then I will think.” If divine action is expected without initial human endeavor, it will not manifest, for God needs nothing.

The True Meaning

Baba wisely conveyed that a grand temple was not required. When the work for Baba first began, there was only a small idol of him. Yet, Baba’s presence is boundless, whether in physical form or not. When his idol arrived from Batlana, he truly became an integral part of the community’s family. This journey deepened as people from PGI Hospital (Chandigarh), including dialysis patients and sick children, began visiting Baba’s place. It became evident that Baba finds his devotees, drawing them with their prayers for healing and their longing to visit Shirdi.
This inspired a new vision: to establish a Shirdi in the north, not just a temple, but a true spiritual haven, akin to Dwarka. The Shri Sai Urja Trust embarked on this mission with Baba, marking the true beginning of its endeavor to build a community grounded in compassion, knowledge, and selfless service.
